The Judicial Officer FAQ
What database is used in The Judicial
Officer?
Oracle 9i and 10g, and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and 2005
Can the Judicial Officer interact
with The Housing Director?
Yes, for those students in housing. Their violations
and sanctions can be sent into the housing database so that your housing staff
can have access. There are security levels in The Housing Director too prevent
certain users from viewing this information.
Can we link to
our campus-wide student information system?
Yes. There is a built-in link so that you can pull student data, plus their
current room assignment and roommates, directly from another system, such as
PeopleSoft, SunGard Banner, Datatel, etc. You can also use our Data Interface
Module (DIM) to automate the updating of student data from your campus-wide
system. It works with any ODBC-compliant database.
How can my RA
staff input incident data without having full access to the system?
We offer the MyJudicial web application for online incident entry. Yourr RA staff or other community members can input data from anywhere without being
able to see existing data or reports. You can view all incidents entered via
the web each morning. Also, the software itself has many privilege levels, including
limiting data based on residence hall and/or the user who entered the data.
Can more than
one student be involved in an incident?
Yes. You can easily link multiple students to one single incident.
Is there an on-line
help system?
Yes. All Adirondack Solutions Inc. products come with an extensive on-line
help system.
